Oh... And there was a soldier that died recently, that attended school at USM. He just got married, which is how I know him (from his wife). I think this is the first time I've ever felt this bad about death in war before, which is odd since I feel this horrible obligation to all personelle of the services.

I almost made a bad pun unintentionally... anyway... the link is not working...

dammit. i'll see if i can find a mirror.

I'm glad these got posted...the DoD is throwing a fit, spewing some bullshit about not wanting "the remains of our service members who have made the ultimate sacrifice to be the subject of any kind of attention that is unwarranted or undignified" as if they give a fuck. It's all about trying to keep powerful images of death that could make Joe Taxpayer change their mind about supporting a bullshit "war". Now if only Bush was in one of those boxes (along with whoever pulls his strings these days).

Bush will be in Maine this weekend. Maybe you could attend the function, and ask him about it. I can get you a press pass.

Hmmm...as much as I cough love cough Maine...I don't think it's worth the trip up there just to spit in W's face...

Did you find a site, or did they take them all down already? I don't think that pics of coffins is in any way a case of National Defense, unless they think it's going to cause some riots or internet terrorism.
