markov's return

i've finally gotten around to adding markov back into thraxil. back and better than ever. markov now uses all posts, diary posts, and comments to build the transition matrix (in the old version, it only used the frontpage posts).
for the time being, the markov post is only updated when someone posts someting (anything) so you can't just sit and reload over and over for new markov posts. once i make some performance tweaks, that might be added back.
and of course, if you get sick of the markov posts, you can always turn it off by unchecking the "show markov" box on your user settings page.

really? I think of General Markov the great russian logistician. I can here r's rolling and that faint raspiness of full mustaches. And of course robert fripp in the background... "it is impossible to achieve the aim without suffering."anders pearson - Mon 08 Apr 2002 00:10:59
now, if you want more of a markov fix, you can just go here and reload to your heart's content.Thanh Christopher Nguyen - Mon 08 Apr 2002 00:13:59

Howdy Anders,
I was just wondering if you are still thinking about augmenting Markov as described in an older post? It seems like a very nifty upgrade to the already Mega-nifty and entertaining, already exisiting Markov.anders pearson - Mon 08 Apr 2002 00:15:59
not anytime in the near future. the code is available so anyone who wants to play with it themselves is certainly welcome to.sarah - Mon 08 Apr 2002 00:12:59
