we've been using <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WikiWiki">wiki</a>'s at <a href="http://ccnmtl.columbia.edu/">work</a> for a while now with some real success.
last night, the power supply in my main machine at home blew, so that will set back the development of the new thraxil engine somewhat. to make up for delays, and keep people entertained while i work on it, i decided it would be interesting to set up a wiki for thraxil and see what people did with it.
so <a href="http://thraxil.org/wiki/">here it is</a>. go nuts. just don't abuse it or i'll take it down.

hmmm...nevermind...i figured it out...sort of...i would assume there's a better way to go about it than pointing your browser to http://thraxil.org/wiki/node.pl?DeepCerulean in order to create the page...but whatever...my way works tooanders pearson - Fri 23 Jan 2004 04:15:01
there are several ways. you can edit an existing page and change the page name field to the name you want and it will save it as that page instead of the one you editted. or you can edit a page, include the wiki word somewhere on the page, save it, then click on the grey link and it will give you a form for editting that page.Miguel Diaz - Fri 23 Jan 2004 04:16:01
Ah...I didn't try the second method...the first method kept giving me an "Invalid Page Name" error. I'm surprised you're so into wiki what with all the capital letters and all...Anonymous - Sun 30 Jan 2005 11:33:43
I basically stumbled on this site by accident, and of course my first reaction was, this is gorgeous, what wiki engine is it running? I actually hunted for some "powered by" logo on the front page. Might you consider a link on the front page for the curious and smitten to cue us in on how the site was created?Anonymous - Sun 30 Jan 2005 11:40:55
Answering my own question... http://thraxil.org/code/ Thraxil weblog engine Thraxil is a community weblog engine written by Anders Pearson. Thraxil was written in Perl and utilizes the PostgreSQL database. See Thraxil in action. http://thraxil.org/anders - Mon 31 Jan 2005 16:00:10
actually, the code page is out of date. the current version of the site is built in python using sqlite as a backend. see "this post":http://thraxil.org/users/anders/posts/2004/05/24/new-beginnings/ for a much better overview.
