i've recieved a request to forward this info to mssm people, but i didn't want to spam the front page. click here to read it
Howdy. It turns out that the terms that they are trying to terminate his contract on aren't actually legal. Once again the administration has lied to us. They told students that they could not keep him on the staff because they were short on money, and that the large sum of money that they had recieved from some group of people (sorry I dont know exactly who) was meant to go towards hiring a new math or science teacher. Well niether of these are true, whoever leant the money was contacted by one of the students attending mssm and they told her that the money was to be used for any purpose. Don't think that student body doesn't care, there are a few students that are working closely with a teacher and attempting to dig up what ever they can to stop it.

Anders: About the making of drones: It's worse than what you think. The school isn't really attracting the people it used to. From the things I've heard from teachers and alumni friends, I'd say that the school is going more mainstream. The students are pretty much already drones when they first reach mssm. Aside from a few students in the incoming class, the first years seem to be straight out of middle school.

The school isn't what it used to be. Even between this year and the last, many things have changed for the worse. Dottie Martin is constantly lying to the student body, and Bowker and Norma O'Keefe should not be in the positions they have now. They are horrible administrators.

yeah, i got this passed to me from prasanth too.
pretty sad news. tasker was a great teacher and responsible for more than his fair share of influence on the character of the school.
from what i saw while i was there and what i've heard from people who were there after me about changes in admissions and policy, mssm has been trying hard to eliminate individuality and personality in the students and produce classes full of intelligent but dull drones. i guess tasker posed too much of a risk to that mission. he should be proud that they're getting rid of him.
honestly, i'm surprised he's been there as long as he has. i seem to recall that even in our first year, he was less than 100% happy with the administration and vice versa.
well, i hope he finds another job that will let him teach smart kids about politics, history, and swedish while living somewhere surrounded by windswept tundra.
