i am 23 today. i am no where near where i thought i would be when i did a 5 year projection at the tender age of 18. things have taken a strange course.
happy birthday emile! don't worry, i haven't taken over the world yet so...actually it's funny, i feel the same way, but i never really had any plans or projections for myself. like feeling lost, but knowing exactly where you are.
If anyone is at their five year projection that they had when they were 18, they should be shot. How many of us had a decent understanding of what the world was like at 18 (Well, maybe some homeless street urchin types, but other then that...).
Happy Birthday Emile! Suck this one for all it's worth because you won't be a prime number again for another six years.
PS That first part about shoting people may have been a little extreme, perhaps a firm spanking would be more appropriate.

23 is a good age. It's easy to rhyme in songs (see <a href="http://www.windu.com/blink182/lyrics.htm#age">Blink 182</a> and <a href="http://www.incubusonline.com/iframe/my.php">Incubus</a>).
Actually, 23 was an awful year for me (no job, no girlfriend, living with my parents, with no life for most of that year). But it probably isn't that bad for everyone.
