If you haven't already watched this, do so. It's a documentary on DieBold Voting machines and their horrific track record, refusal to be audited, and possible roll in rigging the 2004 presidential election.
RELATED LINKS:
VoterGate.tv, the site for the documentary.
hotlink to the documentary on archive.org in case the above site goes (is taken) down
blackboxvoting.org, the group driving this action.
If you read any other link-blogs where this hasn't been posted, pass it along. The group needs money for all the FOIA requests.

I think something is funky w/ thraxil lately...if you notice, you can no longer post comments to Jere's post (Gimme an F*), ever since she deleted the other one...I blame Bush...jere - Sat 06 Nov 2004 14:43:57
Yes! I tried to post a link on the comments page, and got routed to this page every time I hit enter. This is very weird, and I probably screwed up some path when I deleted a duplicate post. I suppose we could just carry on with that thread over here. They DO fit together. Anyway, here's another bit of cheer.Ada - Sat 06 Nov 2004 23:34:42
I'd like to buy a copy of this film. Why don't news stations jump on this film, it's worthy of a major investigation. I'm sick of the tempory death of democracy due to the lack of integrity in voting. We need a people's revolt (without violence of course) to make the govenerment accountable!TC - Mon 08 Nov 2004 00:56:02
But the common man only responds to extremeties. And the gov't is full of common men. There's nothing better than a takeover... (it starts with a C, but I can't remember how to spell it right now... Cou, or coue, or something like that... but anyway... spelling aside...) There's nothing like a hostile action to achieve results ranging from attention to action. Sadly, knowing this but opposing it, there is little to do but better educate the young... Except, we don't have the final say on how much money of our goes to the education of our youth, so we either bite it hard and work in the education field for less than we're worth, or sometimes can even live on reasonably, or we stop complaining about the problems in our society because we're not bold enough to throw maltov-coctails, and not righteous enough to educate future generations towards better practices. Blah blah blah...DeepCerulean - Mon 08 Nov 2004 08:17:31
Coup...TC - Mon 08 Nov 2004 08:29:02
Yes... thank you. Let's stage a coup. Is that illegal to say? I know it's wrong to joke about assassinating the president, but can you comment about political takeover?DeepCerulean - Mon 08 Nov 2004 12:23:38
it's only wrong 'cause you get people's hopes up... (I'm going to go hide from the SS now...and I mean Secret Service...not the old Nazi intel group...although it's getting harder and harder to tell the difference...)DeepCerulean - Mon 08 Nov 2004 12:26:10
the more i think about it the more americans piss me off. we try to impeach a guy for lying about a blow job (who hasn't done that)...and we re-elect a facist powermonger who spends his days trying to make up excuses to go kill people... mmmm...Toronto...TC - Mon 08 Nov 2004 17:42:46
"Americans piss me off" But at least your next sentence involves you into the group, even though your first statement seperates you. It's not Americans.. it's some Americans. right? So... fuck it. Stop voting, stop caring. Stop bitching about politics that haven't changed in years and decades. Start educating and mentoring, and serial killing the ones you think are making "Americans" weaker as a group. Come on... Hitler did it, and think of all the newspaper articles his mom must have had magnetized to the fridge. I bet her whole house was decorated with arts and crafts he made her, like those nice lampshades, and a drawer full of recipies. Now that's just plain wrong. I don't know what is wrong with me. Oh yes... Tim O'Brien said it best. I'm just trying to laugh my way to a happy ending. It's not working, but I am amused at everyone's comments, and the general sense of duality of apathy and disgust. Me... I dunno. Like I said... Educate, revolt, or move... I suppose.DeepCerulean - Tue 09 Nov 2004 09:10:11
for now, i'm going to have to settle for moving... the education and revolting is in the works for later...Luke - Tue 09 Nov 2004 00:31:53
get the movie from the votergate.tv site!!!!! That archive.org link is a lame video which is made by someone else, though it uses some of the votergate footage. The lame version can also be found at http://www.votergate.org/ and http://www.votergatethemovie.com/Anonymous - Tue 09 Nov 2004 00:34:14
***DON'T*** hotlink to the documentary on archive.org. Like I said, the versions on votergate.tv and archive.org are different - see for yourself.
