what ghoulish escapades have you all cooked up for this halloween? and for devil's night - my new favorite holiday ;)

in nyc, both Alice Cooper and the Misfits are playing shows on halloween night. i'm torn about which show to go to.
Halloween is to me, now, the Vigil of Samhain; the souls of all in the animals of the night. Not neo-fantasy shit, but just a night for me to spend in the hills in the fall under the moon and just listen. Listen for all the sounds that I forget to hear every day. It is like a night of mindfulness. Luckily I've got a gypsy-psycho living in the house who has more in tune with dirt and growing stuff than I have in the rest of the known universe. I live and learn. She bitches about how stupid americans are. Thank god she doesn't believe me when I say it is just me. Favorite halloween film? The wicker man.
Favorite halloween candy? Snickers and sweethearts.
I find gypsy people to be some of the most interesting and wholesomely fulfilling people to even just be around. I love spirit, and when I see it in a woman's eyes words lose the ability to describe my state of mind. mmmm. I'm thinking I'll have to steal your plan Sarah ... it sounds just about perfect.
I agree with Sarah about a very good way to spend Halloween. And this year we have the added bonus of a fullmoon (well, nearly: technically it's full the next day, but that makes it part of the "Three Day Party Time" as we used to call it with the kids).... I've always thought that The Moment is right after sunset-- when the Crack of the World is, or can be, open/ed. Sarah, thank you for reminding me of where I want to be around sunset on Halloween! Salut! (Favorite Halloween candy? Candy corn and -- for a really mindblowing experience -- the message hearts, but only one and only after an "om" moment to establish a link.) Now, heather -- thank you for posting, because I can't get e-mails to you. I have tried "heather@curioser.org", but it comes back as undeliverable. (I miss you!) RPI no longer acknowledges your existence either (the link under your name has expired, sweetie). So, please tell me (jarmen@ncounty.net, if you want privacy)! :-)
my new semi-permantent address is: heather@curiouser.org. don't forget the U! it is derived from lewis carroll's _alice's adventures in wonderland_, when she exclaimed at the beginning of chapter two, the pool of tears, 'curiouser and curiouser!' that always tickled me. someday i will do something delightful with curiouser.org, but for now it simply is what it is: yet another work in progress. much like me. fitting, don't you think? anyway, email is up, down, left and right these days. you'll just have to try your luck. i miss you kids too (and yes, that includes you, jere ;) i'll be glad to be seeing you all again soon. i'm going to be a creature of the night for halloween. perhaps join the gathering at emile's. halloween in simply my favorite!
anders-- i really think the misfits are the way to go on this one. although, alice cooper might have a bigger budget for cool stuff. hmm...i guess it is a really tough decision. i only wish i was in a position where i had to decide on one or the other.
When you say alice cooper, I think of this: http://www.nealsmith.com
Thanks to me buddy beth.
I'm dressing as Dr. Nick and going to a party. Pennsylvania is so boring. Heh, I almost said borking.
Going to Type O tonight, went to them last halloween as well. Well near enough to the All Hallows Eve as it might be. mmmm ... Peter makes me want to ... got to ... aaarrrrrggggg. God I love Type O.
