Well, I now have in my possession, a sleek new G4 Titanium Powerbook. I've had much disdain for Apple over the years, but they really did a great job with this system. Everything about it is just soooooo slick. The screen is huge, the system is light, the ports on it are plentiful (Mmmmmm firewire), and the GUI is beautiful...plus it has a command line. Wheee!!!!
I'm really, not worthy. But I'm in computing bliss nonetheless.

TiBook! OSX. These two things my life doth vex. FUCKING PLASTIC IS BREAKING DOWN. CRACKS AND CHIPPING PLASTIC. Still love it though.anders pearson - Mon 19 Nov 2001 15:08:56
did you go for the DVD drive or the CD-RW? i'm waiting for them to offer the tiBook's with the same combo drive that's in the iBook. one of my coworkers got a tiBook and, within a week, dropped it on the ground. crack. split the case in two. breaks my heart just to think about it. amazingly the screen survived and the machine still works just fine except that you can't pick it up anymore because the case isn't holding the pieces together. someday i will have a laptop rugged enough that i can tie a rope to it and drag it to work.Mark Boudreau - Mon 19 Nov 2001 15:09:56
I have the DVD drive. I watched a little bit of Patton on it the other day and MAN is it sweet. A combo drive would be hella nice, but I can make due for now. I'm a little worried about how fragile this thing might be. I've had pretty good luck with laptops (knock on wood) over the years, so I'm hoping that trend will continue.sarah - Mon 19 Nov 2001 15:11:56
Have a look at this. My pod has promised me one if I'm good. Looks can kill... and I could kill with one of these things.Mark Boudreau - Mon 19 Nov 2001 15:10:56
