did you go for the DVD drive or the CD-RW?
i'm waiting for them to offer the tiBook's with the same combo drive that's in the iBook.
one of my coworkers got a tiBook and, within a week, dropped it on the ground. crack. split the case in two. breaks my heart just to think about it. amazingly the screen survived and the machine still works just fine except that you can't pick it up anymore because the case isn't holding the pieces together.
someday i will have a laptop rugged enough that i can tie a rope to it and drag it to work.
I have the DVD drive. I watched a little bit of Patton on it the other day and MAN is it sweet. A combo drive would be hella nice, but I can make due for now.
I'm a little worried about how fragile this thing might be. I've had pretty good luck with laptops (knock on wood) over the years, so I'm hoping that trend will continue.
