hi my name is josh and i recently went to thailand on holiday where i saw artists using the carbon dust technique to produce photo realistic portraits. I bought some graphite powder hoping to produce some of my own, but cannot find any paper that would hold the graphite powder. am i using the right powder? because i remember the powder that the thai artists used was matt as opposed to sparkly. so maybe they were using charcoal powder rather than graphite? also what paper should i be using and where could i get some from?

your help would be greatly appreciated, as no art shops i have visited know any thing about the carbon dust technique.

regards josh
