George Harrison, the Beatles’ quiet lead guitarist and spiritual explorer who added both rock ‘n’ roll flash and a touch of the mystic to the band’s timeless magic, has died. He was 58.

To me, George Harrison is "as my guitar gently weeps" played by a muppet. But that is still a positive memory.

I've only recently come to appreciate the Beatles and what they've meant to music. Many of George's songs appeal to my ear and touch my soul. He will be sorely missed. Luckily, I think he and the Beatles will have their music played for many generations to come.
